Kids start planning Christmas presents in the summer

The vast range of Christmas toys, those treats that kids anticipate and put on their list for Santa starting before the summer is over, is downright stunning.  As technology advances, so do the possibilities for fun and excitement; in addition the educational tools incorporated into much of that list has become a big factor in the sort of toys most often requested (whether the kids know it or not.)

For parents, the goal should be finding the ‘toys’ that will keep your youngsters occupied and happy for more than a few hours on Christmas Day, whilst giving them mental and/or physical stimulation that helps to further their learning experience, keeps them interested and encourages their creativity.

You might consider, for instance, an ebook reader for kids; it’s a new device that combines audio, animation and reading in a way that’s just irresistible.  Kids can read for themselves or have the device read to them, and they can touch images on the screen to produce little animations that define a word or move the characters around.

There are also a lot of new gaming toys in which the games are designed for learning in a variety of areas such as maths, spelling, science and a whole range of other subjects.  Kids can use a touch to navigate through the games as they learn questions and answers, and it’s great fun on top of its educational value.
