Less cash doesn’t mean less Christmas toy fun

With less free money, Christmas may present a problem for many families that are barely able to make ends meet as it is. However, if people were able to tune back into the real spirit of the holiday season this could become something to rejoice about instead of begrudge.

One of the main problems with Christmas as is that children have become increasingly spoiled by parents, who give out larger presents each year in order to keep up with what society demands of them.

However, now that the big gift is not practical, it is time to look at how to keep your kids smiling with the core principals of Christmas at heart, instead of the large shiny gifts.

One way to bring more magic to the Christmas time is by doling out small presents day by day around Christmas, appearing in the morning so that each child gets a toy every day. This means that your children will appreciate each separate toy more, and since they are spread out will make the fact that there may be a few less toys under the tree this year less noticeable.

Another great way is to give children behaviour charts so they can keep track of their holiday behaviour. Not only will this lead to more excitement, but it will make a child feel better about the gifts they do receive.

Finally, another great way to make Christmas more fun is by increasing the size of stockings while degrading the presents. Stocking stuffers are notoriously cheap, but everyone still loves to see them stuffed in the morning.

Christmas the Sproutifarts! – Online fun from Hawkin’s Bazaar

Hawkin’s Bazaar have produced a sequel to their online game Attack of the Sprouts.

Hawkin's Bazaar - Suppliers to Father Christmas

If you are a dyed-in-the-wool sprout-hater, then you might find this game difficult as you actually have to eat the sprouts. Follow the simple instructions – eat the sprouts and then make sure you press and hold the ‘Fart’ button (great face!) to get rid of your excess wind – but make sure you don’t fart too much and go hungry, otherwise you’re done for! You’ll see that the whole family joins in as you go through the levels.

Fun for all the family!
