Construction Top Ten Toys For Christmas 2011

All children love to build and construct things, and there are so many toys out there that involve construction it can be difficult to know which ones really deliver the creativity they promise, and which ones will disappoint and be condemned to the toy graveyard that every home has. Thank goodness for the Toy Retailers Association, and that they put their 50 years of experience into their much respected dream toy lists.

These lists indicate which toys are going to be the most popular at Christmas and help adults to make the correct choices as far as buying toys for children at Christmas is concerned. The Toy Retailers Association listens to parents and works with retailers to create these lists of toys that every child is hoping to come downstairs to find on Christmas morning. The list is in alphabetical order followed by the manufacturer and RRP.

Cool And Hot Top Ten Toys For Christmas 2011

What makes the perfect toy for a child at Christmas? Parents, grandparents and the like ask themselves this every year when they go out and buy the child what they think they will love, only to have a very underwhelmed expression and see it tossed to one side and forgotten. The 50 years of experience that the Toy Retailers Association has under its belt  tells us that the top toys are both cool and hot.

Cool is what the toy has to be to appeal to the child, regardless of the hours you spent trawling the shops for it or how much you paid, if it isn’t cool it isn’t wanted. They are also hot sellers, and due to the Toy Retailers Association listening to consumers and working closely with retailers, they have come up with a dream list of toys for this year that are both cool and hot.

The names of the toys on this list many not mean a lot to many but they certainly will to the lucky children who find them under the tree on Christmas morning. The toys are listed in alphabetical order followed by the manufacturer and RRP.

In the latter category, real mums were also asked for their approval and there are two toys in that category.

The toys were tested by experts, children. Various factors were considered by the judges including coolness, boredom factor, fun to play, breakability and play with friends. She said that mums looked for a combination of things such as how much their children enjoyed playing with the toys and whether or not it lived up to it’s expectations. They chose a toy for each gender and the girls loved the Kidizoom twist while the boys went mad over the Imaginext Batcave.
